Milena "Mila" Kunis Russian: Милена Кунис; Ukrainian: Мілена Куніс born August 14, 1983; play /ˈmiːlə ˈkuːnɪs/) is an actress who has starred in American films and television. Her work includes the role of Jackie Burkhart on the TV series That '70s Show and the voice of Meg Griffin on the animated series Family Guy. She has also played roles in film, such as Rachel Jansen in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Mona Sax in Max Payne, Solara in The Book of Eli and Jamie in Friends with Benefits.
In 2010, she won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor or Actress at the 67th Venice International Film Festival for her performance as Lily in Black Swan. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for the same role.

Early life
Kunis was born in Chernivtsi in the Ukrainian SS Her mother, Elvira, is a physics teacher and drug store manager, and her father, Mark Kunis, is a mechanical engineer and cab company executive. She has an older brother, Michael. Her family moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1991, when she was seven years old. Kunis is Jewish and has cited antisemitism in the former Soviet Union as one of several reasons for her family's move to the U.S. She has said that her parents "raised me Jewish as much as they could", though religion was suppressed in the Soviet Union.
Kunis has stated that a lottery system allowed her family to make the move: "It took about five years. If you got chosen the first time around, you went to Moscow, where there was another lottery, and you maybe got chosen again. Then you could come to the States." On her second day in Los Angeles, she was enrolled at Rosewood Elementary School not knowing a word of English. "I blocked out second grade," she says. "I don't remember, but my mom tells me that I came home and cried every day. I wasn't that traumatized. It was just a shock." Kunis added: "I didn't understand the culture. I didn't understand the people. I didn't understand the language. My first sentence of my essay to get into college was like, 'Imagine being blind and deaf at age seven.' And that's kind of what it felt like moving to the States."
In Los Angeles, she attended Hubert Howe Bancroft Middle School. She was mostly taught by an on-set tutor for her high school years while filming That '70s Show. Kate Elizabeth Winslet born 5 October 1975 is an English actress and occasional singer. She has received multiple awards and nominations. She was the youngest person to accrue six Academy Award nominations, and won the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Reader (2008). Winslet has been acclaimed for both dramatic and comedic work in projects ranging from period to contemporary films, and from major Hollywood productions to less publicised indie films. She has won awards from the Screen Actors Guild, British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association among others, and has been nominated twice for an Emmy Award for television acting.
Raised in Berkshire, Winslet studied drama from childhood, and began her career in British television in 1991. She achieved recognition for her subsequent work in a supporting role in Sense and Sensibility (1995) and for her leading role in Titanic (1997), the highest grossing film at that time.
Since 2000, Winslet's performances have continued to draw positive comments from film critics, and she has been nominated for various awards for her work in such films as Quills (2000), Iris (2001), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Finding Neverland (2004), Little Children (2006), The Reader (2008) and Revolutionary Road (2008). Her performance in the latter prompted New York magazine critic David Edelstein to describe her as "the best English-speaking film actress of her generation".[1] The romantic comedy The Holiday and the animated film Flushed Away (both 2006) were among the biggest commercial successes of her career.
Winslet was awarded a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children in 2000. She has been included as a vocalist on some soundtracks of works she has performed in, and the single "What If" from the soundtrack for Christmas Carol: The Movie (2001), was a hit single in several European countries. Winslet has a daughter with her former husband, Jim Threapleton, and a son with her second husband, Sam Mendes, from whom she is separated. She lives in New York City.

Early life
Born in Reading, Berkshire, Winslet is the middle of three daughters of Sally Anne (née Bridges), a barmaid, and Roger John Winslet, a swimming pool contractor. Her parents were "jobbing actors", which led Winslet to comment that she "didn't have a privileged upbringing" and that their daily life was "very hand to mouth". Her maternal grandparents, Linda (née Plumb) and Archibald Oliver Bridges, founded and operated the Reading Repertory Theatre, and her uncle, Robert Bridges, appeared in the original West End production of Oliver!. Her older sister, Anna, and younger sister, Beth, are also actresses.
Raised in an Anglican household, Winslet began studying drama at the age of 11 at the Redroofs Theatre School, a co-educational independent school in Maidenhead, Berkshire, where she was head girl. At the age of 12, Winslet appeared in a television advertisement directed by filmmaker Tim Pope for Sugar Puffs cereal. Pope said her naturalism was "there from the start".

It's not because they're habit-forming or carcinogenic or a gateway to more dangerous substances. It's because a woman who spent $60 and four (or eight) hours in the stylist's chair is not going to be eager to hit the gym and wreck her hair, and if you don't get that, well, you're probably a guy.
Surgeon General Regina Benjamin gets it. She is a doctor whose mother was a hairstylist. She knows high-maintenance hair can be an obstacle to exercise, especially for African-American women like herself. She's performing a huge public service by calling women out on it.

"Oftentimes you get women saying, 'I can't exercise today because I don't want to sweat my hair back or get my hair wet,'" Benjamin told The New York Times. "I hate to use the word 'excuse,' but that's one of them."
Earlier this month, Benjamin served as honorary judge for a "hair fitness competition" at a trade show that drew some 60,000 stylists in Atlanta. Contestants were asked to produce exercise-friendly hairstyles for low-, moderate- and high-impact workouts. The event was co-hosted by Bronner Bros., which specializes in hair and skin care for African-Americans, and insurance giant UnitedHealthcare. Grand prize was $5,000.
The focus was on black women, who have a higher obesity rate than any other demographic group. Half of African-American women over age 20 are obese, compared with 36 percent of all women and 34 percent of adults overall. In a study done by Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, one in three black women said concerns about their hair made them think twice about exercise.
But the phenomenon isn't limited to black women. Dedicated female jocks tend to have wash-and-wear hair to facilitate their regular visits to the gym, but for everyone else, the post-workout hair regimen is a lot like starting over. Sweat and water have a way of undoing the work of flattening irons, curling wands and blow dryers. Who has time to do all that again? And who wants to haul around all that gear — not to mention all that "product"? Let's not even mention the makeup thing.
Again, you get it or you don't. Jeff Stier, a senior fellow at the conservative National Center for Public Policy Research, doesn't. "The role of the surgeon general is traditionally and appropriately to take on big issues," he told the Times. "I don't know whether the surgeon general's role is to engage in smaller issues like this. It strikes me as bizarre."
Bizarre? What's bizarre about targeting behaviors that contribute to our nationwide obesity epidemic, and the heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure that go with it?
Telling women to eat moderately and get in 150 minutes worth of cardio each week obviously isn't getting the job done. Give Benjamin credit for having the moxie to recognize one reason for that.

She may still be wringing singles from her platinum-plus Loud album, but Rihanna is already prepping her sixth studio effort. And, from the sound of things, it'll be finished soon.
RiRi took to her Twitter account early Thursday morning (September 15) to confirm that, yes, sessions for album number six are already under way. "I can't wait to start filling u guys in on some details!" she exclaimed.
Rihanna punctuated that tweet with a "*Zips lips*," meaning that, for now at least, she's done talking about the project.
Talk of new music began on Wednesday, when the singer retweeted a post from production duo the Runners (Rihanna's "California King Bed" and "Cheers"), who wrote, "Shout out to @alexdelicata for makin history with us. Wait till they hear this new @rihanna song."
But in late July, producer Verse Simmonds — one half of the studio duo known as the Jugganauts, who produced Rihanna's hit "Man Down" — talked to MTV News' Mixtape Daily about the new album, saying that Ri was close to completing work on the disc.
"From what I understand, she's closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved, and I'm really excited about them as well," Simmonds said. "They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts."
Simmonds said he was "99.999 percent" sure that his and production partner Sak Pase's contributions would make the final cut, and while he wouldn't elaborate on what Rihanna's new album would sound like, he did hint that it'll move in a direction quite different from "Man Down."
"Because we ... as producers, as artists, we try to always come with something different, a whole new sound," he explained.
Of course, finishing up her album isn't the only thing on Rihanna's plate these days. During Wednesday night's "The X Factor" launch party in Los Angeles, Simon Cowell confirmed to KIIS FM that she would also serve as a guest judge on the show, saying, "You're going to see her."
